Los que est\u00e1n en nuestro <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andysmentorclub.com\">club de mentores<\/a> saben que he estado construyendo una posici\u00f3n en la inversi\u00f3n en petr\u00f3leo durante los \u00faltimos seis meses. He decidido ir en corto a corto plazo, y quiero explicar por qu\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tendencias del petr\u00f3leo y cambio de posici\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El petr\u00f3leo estuvo bastante alto en junio y julio de 2014, pero se desplom\u00f3 en diciembre pasado. Fue entonces cuando empec\u00e9 a interesarme realmente por el petr\u00f3leo. En ese momento, no estaba muy seguro de lo que deparaba el futuro para los precios del petr\u00f3leo, pero reconoc\u00eda la ca\u00edda de los precios y sospechaba que probablemente tocar\u00eda fondo porque hab\u00eda ca\u00eddo mucho desde el m\u00e1ximo de finales de junio pasado.<\/p>\n<p>Al notar esta tendencia, decid\u00ed utilizar la estrategia de vender puts a la baja en diciembre. Es una estrategia inteligente que utiliza Warren Buffet. Piensa en la venta de puts como una promesa de comprar las acciones a un determinado precio. Generalmente, si el precio baja vamos a poder adquirir, y si sube nos quedamos con la prima.<\/p>\n<p>Continu\u00e9 construyendo mi posici\u00f3n mediante la venta de puts hasta junio de este a\u00f1o, cuando me sent\u00ed satisfecho con la cantidad de acciones que pude construir. Aunque las tendencias del petr\u00f3leo no subieron significativamente, segu\u00ed siendo rentable porque estaba obteniendo ingresos a trav\u00e9s de la venta en el camino. En resumen, me pagaban por comprar las acciones a precios baratos.<\/p>\n<p>En las \u00faltimas semanas, he estado preocupado por mi posici\u00f3n. El 18 de marzo de este a\u00f1o, establecimos un nivel de soporte cuando el mercado estaba bajo. En una acci\u00f3n normal, podr\u00edamos ver que el m\u00ednimo ser\u00eda un nivel de soporte. Sin embargo, cuando se observa el crudo en s\u00ed, podr\u00edamos ver que en realidad no ha bajado a sus m\u00ednimos. Mi sensaci\u00f3n es que el reciente giro a la baja probablemente va a probar o romper el soporte. Como resultado, decid\u00ed cambiar a una postura bajista, lo que significa que vend\u00ed las acciones que me estaban pagando por adquirir.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Petr\u00f3leo frente a otras acciones<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La diferencia entre el petr\u00f3leo y las acciones es que una acci\u00f3n puede provocar la quiebra. Una acci\u00f3n puede caer hasta cero, pero no veo que el petr\u00f3leo haga eso. Ser\u00eda una locura creer que el petr\u00f3leo podr\u00eda ser gratuito alg\u00fan d\u00eda: es una materia prima importante y cuesta dinero extraerla del suelo. Como resultado, creo que hay un nivel de soporte importante que se acerca r\u00e1pidamente. Incluso si rompe ese nivel de soporte, me parece bien.<\/p>\n<p>Si nos remontamos a la historia, podemos encontrar grandes m\u00ednimos en los precios del petr\u00f3leo. En los a\u00f1os 90, por ejemplo, el precio del petr\u00f3leo baj\u00f3 a $10. Dudo que baje tanto en la actualidad porque creo que hoy hay m\u00e1s demanda mundial de petr\u00f3leo que hace 20 a\u00f1os y la tecnolog\u00eda para extraerlo es probablemente m\u00e1s costosa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tomar decisiones con conocimiento de causa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entre 2008 y 2009, el precio del petr\u00f3leo se desplom\u00f3 dr\u00e1sticamente, pero luego encontr\u00f3 apoyo y volvi\u00f3 a subir. Creo que podr\u00eda seguir esa tendencia de nuevo. Creo que cuanto m\u00e1s baje el coste, mejor ser\u00e1 la compra porque es bastante improbable que el petr\u00f3leo llegue a la marca cero. As\u00ed que cuanto m\u00e1s baje, m\u00e1s me entusiasma. Voy a apostar por el corto plazo, y luego seguir\u00e9 comprando puts para volver a mi posici\u00f3n original de ir largo en el largo plazo.<\/p>\n<p>No estoy muy metido en el tema de los consejos financieros, pero s\u00ed en el de la educaci\u00f3n. Espero que no tomes esta lecci\u00f3n como \"la predicci\u00f3n de Andy sobre el petr\u00f3leo\". Podr\u00eda estar totalmente equivocado - \u00a1ya me he equivocado antes!
