If you follow movies or TV shows, you've probably seen Seth Rogen. He's been the lovable oaf and stoner in a series of Hollywood hits. And he looks like like an average guy you would see in line at McDonald's to get a burger and fries.
But here's the thing… Seth Rogen may have started as just another actor. Now, 20 years after he first arrived in Hollywood as a teenager, he controls an empire. Starring in big movies… writing books and shows… runs a production company… co-owns a cannabis product company… started a massive charitable organization with his wife… and more. He shared his secret to success in a recent article in GQ magazine…
“I really always worked hard, because I recognized from a pretty young age it was one of the only things I could control,” Rogen said.
“I remember I did karate as a kid, at the Jewish Community Center, and when I started I was the worst in the class, I was the worst of 25 Jewish kids who were afraid of getting picked on. And then just because everyone else quit, three years later I was at the top of the class, and there were 25 Jewish kids who were worse than me. And that was always tangible: Just by not stopping I became the best one. It wasn't this, like, ferocious leap. I just kept going, and slowly [other] people stopped. Because a lot of people will stop.”
That is the best lesson all of us can hear:
WORK HARD. DON'T QUIT.
Simply by doing that, you will outlast almost everyone.
You will get better than almost everyone.
And you will build your own success.
That's the best lesson you'll get today.
Don't ever forget it.
